I think weightwatchers is too concerned with fat and not concerned enough with protein. For example, an ounce of nuts are the same amount of points as a can of coke. Someone on WW please comment.

You need to clarify what nuts are you talking about? Some have more points than coke. Peanuts: 33 nuts are 2 points. A coke is 2 points. Other nuts are more points than a coke. The points are based on the Calories, Total Fat and Fiber in any food.
Have you been to a weight watchers meeting? Do you know about the healthy eating guidelines? The key to weightwatchers (for me) is that it makes you think… As you said nuts and coke are the same points but what’s better for you? It’s making the smart choices. Many foods have the same calories, total fat and fiber; it’s for you to make the decision of what’s better for you if you want to lose weight. Again (for me) weightwatchers is a tool- it tells me what food has what points… how I use it is up to me.
We only talked briefly about this, but I did WW for 12 weeks when Joshua was a year old. I ended up choosing foods that were low in points just so I could eat more. I wasn't always eating healthy. I think WW can work well, but I during my 12 weeks of meetings, it just seemed everyone was trying to come up with desserts that were 5 points or less. I don't know if many of them were focusing on changing their diet so much. I don't remember anyone saying anything about all the veggies that are 0 points. Everyone was talking about pudding and chocolate meringue cookies.
